Football season 2009

My boys both started Upward Flag Football practice this week. Jonathan is playing for the Browns and the team is being coached by Todd Yeisley. Nicholas is playing for the Little Panthers and the team is being coached by Mike Waddell and Blake Loudermilk. Both boys love to play sports but Nicholas especially likes football. He loves to play with anyone who will play with him....he has even been known to play with his baby sister. He watches Chris play his football game on the computer and he watches it with his daddy on TV too! He just loves football!! The practices went well but the bath time after that was interesting.
Chris met me at the ball field and I left about half way through Jonathan's practice to go play Bunco. So Chris was responsible for getting the kids home, fed, bathed, and put in the bed that night. While Nicholas was practicing, Jonathan and Laurie Grace got into the sand box (the only thing that is left from the old playground equipment). Chris said that Jonathan had so much sand in his head by the time they left that you could not see his scalp for all the sand! Laurie Grace kept yelling all the way home that she had 'nasty sand'. When Chris took her pull up off for her bath, he said that she had sand all over her bottom and that it must have been bothering her and that was why she was yelling about the 'nasty sand'. Funny how it was not bothering her when she was in the sand box throwing sand in the air!!
He got everyone cleaned up but we get to do this for many Monday nights to come....I need something else to entertain the ones that are not practicing.
