Fall Carnival At AMES

Last night, we attended the fall carnival and open house at Anderson Mill Elementary School. Chris met us at the event since it started so early...my brother, Nathan, was able to come though and really helped me with the kids. All of the kids wanted to go to different booths and so it was hard to keep track of everyone. The boys loved the sports related rides and Laurie just loved the fact that she could participate this year (last year we kept her in the stroller). We ate dinner at the event and then headed to Jonathan's classroom to see his teacher and some of his work from the first few weeks of first grade. There was a scavenger hunt to find some of the places in his room where they did different activities. He had also made a mini book about himself. We got to take that home...Jonathan did a great job of his person-it looked a lot like him! Here are some pictures from the carnival.
