Laurie Grace is just learning to talk using real words. She is starting to repeat words and she keeps saying the ones she likes, I guess. The word that she uses for every kind of food is cookie. She loves to eat and eats just about everything and I do mean everything. What other 20m old do you know that eats salad and guacomole??
She calls her vegetables, fruits, and everything in between- cookie! I simply give her what she wants and don't tell her any different. I think that as she gets older, calling other foods cookie may help her continue to eat healthy and I am all for that.
Don't get me wrong, she also loves a good cookie or piece of cake or ice cream... She got her love of all food from her mother.
